Rise and Flour is a cafe in the village of Fifield, a quiet spot that works well as a stopping point if you're moving between the bigger towns in the Cotswolds.
The place does exactly what it sets out to do—the name gives away that baking is central to what they do here. You can expect fresh cakes and pastries made on-site, served alongside proper coffee and tea. It's a straightforward, comfortable place to spend an hour or grab something quick before heading elsewhere.
Fifield itself is the kind of village that appeals if you want some peace and quiet rather than the bustle of the market towns. That said, you're well positioned for exploring further afield. Stow-on-the-Wold is just a short drive away, famous for its antique dealers and the views from the high street up top. Burford, an important wool town historically, has an impressive high street of its own and is equally close. Chipping Norton offers another distinct character if you fancy varying your day. So Rise and Flour works nicely as a break point—somewhere to refuel before moving on to whatever's next.
