Shippon is a small village on the eastern edge of the Cotswolds, positioned just west of Abingdon-on-Thames.

While there aren't major attractions within Shippon itself, you can take a gentle walk through the village and visit St Mary Magdalene church if you're interested in local history. What really makes this location valuable is its excellent position for exploring everything around it. Abingdon-on-Thames is just a few minutes away by car and offers the ruins of its medieval abbey, a museum, and riverside walks along the Thames. Oxford, with all its university colleges and cultural attractions, is equally accessible for a day trip.
This works well if you're planning to spend time across the wider area without wanting to stay in a busier town center.
