It's an accessible route that doesn't demand much fitness, so most people can manage it comfortably.

The walk crosses several bridges along the way, each one giving you a different vantage point over the river. You'll often spot boats on the water, along with swans and ducks making use of their habitat. The paths wind through riverside meadows and past open fields, offering that genuine sense of stepping away from things without going anywhere remote.

Wick itself is a quiet village worth lingering in to explore its lanes before you loop back towards Pershore. Once you've finished walking, the market town makes for a rewarding destination. Pershore Abbey is the main attraction here, with sections of the building reaching back centuries, and it's genuinely worth spending time inside. The town centre has gathered a decent collection of independent shops, cafes, and pubs, so you won't struggle to find somewhere for a coffee or lunch. The whole experience works well as a package, combining open countryside with access to a place that's shaped by its history and still actively used by locals going about their day.
