You'll stay right in the centre of Stow-on-the-Wold, one of the Cotswolds' most important market towns, where a proper breakfast gets you ready before you step straight into the heart of things.

Park Street

Stow built its prosperity on wool trading, and that heritage is still visible in the generous market square. The town rewards aimless wandering between independent retailers and antique shops, with plenty of cafes to rest in whenever you fancy a pause. If you want a full meal, the traditional pubs serve decent food in the evenings. St Edward's Church is worth your time if history interests you, particularly the ancient Yew Tree Door.

This location works brilliantly as a base for the North Cotswolds. Bourton-on-the-Water, Moreton-in-Marsh, and Broadway are all within easy driving distance, each offering their own walks, gardens, and attractions. The surrounding countryside is excellent for hiking, with various routes threading through rolling hills. You could comfortably spend several days exploring from here without running out of things to see.
