Starting from Corndean Lane, you'll move through rolling countryside with gentle hills and wide views across the landscape. The route passes through Charlton Abbots before finishing at Guiting Power, a small village built from the area's characteristic honey-coloured stone.

The walk itself is quite straightforward and rewards you with the kind of peaceful rural scenery that defines this part of the Cotswolds. You'll see dry stone walls, patches of woodland, and open fields as you go. Wildlife is often present along the route, and there's a real sense of stepping away from more crowded areas. The path isn't particularly demanding, which makes it ideal for taking your time and simply being present in the landscape.

Guiting Power makes a natural stopping point at the end. It's a proper working village with a green at its heart and a couple of pubs where you can rest with a drink or meal after your walk. There's something satisfying about walking a route that connects you to the land Holst himself knew as a young man. The whole outing offers a genuine sense of what the Cotswolds countryside is really about, without needing to chase experiences or seek out specific attractions.
