This former railway cutting between Stratford-upon-Avon and Moreton-in-Marsh has transformed into something rather special since the line closed.

The reserve sits just outside Ettington village, so it's convenient to reach if you're staying locally. Stratford-upon-Avon is only a short drive north, where you'll find all the shops, restaurants and historical attractions you might want. Many people use this spot as a quieter counterpoint to a day spent exploring the busier sights there, giving yourself some breathing room in a natural setting that's genuinely rewarding to wander through.
