A rare-breeds farm on the high wolds, founded by Joe Henson in 1971 and still run by his son Adam.
The animals are the point — bottle-feeding sessions for lambs and goat kids run twice a day in season, and the Discovery Barn puts chicks, rabbits, guinea pigs and ducklings within reach of small hands.
It is also one of the few attractions in the area that genuinely works in the rain: the Discovery Barn, the Animal Barn and the Adventure Barn’s indoor play are all under cover. Lambing events run through late winter and early spring and a pumpkin patch takes over in October; both are busy, so arrive at opening.
