Chittoe Heath is a small hamlet in the Wiltshire section of the Cotswolds, where you'll find a genuine sense of rural calm away from the activity of busier towns.
It's essentially a collection of homes scattered across rolling farmland and open countryside, making it an excellent choice if you want to slow down and experience the quieter side of the region. There are no shops or pubs within the hamlet itself, so it's really a place to settle into peace or to use as a restful base for exploring what's around you.
You can enjoy gentle walks along local footpaths, taking in the fresh air and the wide-open views that define this part of the Cotswolds. For anything beyond a quiet stroll or if you need amenities, Devizes is just a short drive away—it's a historic market town with a canal, shops, and restaurants. Chippenham offers more facilities and better transport connections if you need them. The nearby village of Bromham has a local pub where you can stop for a drink. Chittoe Heath doesn't have major attractions of its own, but that's rather the point. Its appeal is in its simplicity and the chance to experience a less-visited, genuinely peaceful corner of the Cotswolds.
