in Cirencester

In the heart of Cirencester, Ashley's craft workshop offers a chance to step away and try your hand at something creative.

Dyer Street, GL7 2PF

The space hosts various artisanal activities where you can join in workshops taught by local makers or watch demonstrations of both traditional and contemporary crafts. It's the kind of place where you can spend an hour or two learning a new skill or simply watching others at work, and you'll likely leave with a handmade piece if something catches your eye.

The workshop itself is a newer arrival to Cirencester's offerings, but the town has been here far longer. It was once Corinium Dobunnorum in Roman times, and that history is still visible if you wander through the Abbey Grounds or visit the Roman Amphitheatre. Ashley's sits right in the middle of town, which makes it convenient whether you're using Cirencester as a base for exploring the wider Cotswolds or just passing through. The surrounding area has plenty of places to eat and drink, so you can easily build an afternoon around your workshop session, combining a bit of hands-on creativity with the town's older stories.
