The location works really well as a base for the northern Cotswolds. You can take a leisurely wander around Bushley itself, or venture out on longer walks through the surrounding countryside. Tewkesbury is only a short drive away and worth visiting for its abbey and interesting medieval town centre. If you want somewhere with more activity, Cheltenham is also close by, known for its striking Regency squares, independent shops, and a busy calendar of festivals and events throughout the year. Worcester, a bit further afield, offers cathedral architecture and the River Severn if you fancy a change of scenery. Between the three towns, there's plenty of dining and shopping to explore, and you'll get a real sense of how different parts of this region developed over time. It's a solid base for making the most of the area.
