On the eastern edge of the Cotswolds near South Marston, you'll find a working farm that's set up to let visitors come along and see what really happens during a day on the land.

It's become particularly popular with families who want something more hands-on than a casual look from the car park.

The animals are the main reason people come. You can get up close with lambs, goats, pigs, and ponies, hand-feeding them as you go, and tractor rides usually run throughout the day—something the younger ones rarely forget. There's enough going on to keep everyone happy regardless of what the weather's doing, with covered areas and outdoor spaces dotted around the farm. The seasons bring different activities too. Spring means lambing season, autumn brings pumpkin picking, and other activities tie in with how the farm actually works through the year.

The on-site farm shop stocks produce that's been grown and made here, so you can take something home that reminds you of the visit. It's a good stopping point for letting kids get some energy out while you get a real sense of how rural life functions day to day.

Swindon is just a short drive away, which makes this easy to fit into your plans. If you want something different from the usual village walks and tea rooms the Cotswolds are known for, this offers a proper change of pace without needing to travel far.
