Malvern Spa

in Newland

Illustration — photo coming soon

This spa hotel sits in the village of Newland, just outside Great Malvern, and exists primarily for one purpose: giving you space to slow down.

The contemporary spa facilities include several pools, thermal rooms, and a full range of treatments aimed at helping you properly unwind. There's a restaurant at the hotel where you can eat well after a day of being looked after.

The real draw of staying here is the location. You're positioned perfectly for exploring the Malvern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with genuinely dramatic scenery. The walking is excellent, with routes that open up views across multiple counties. Great Malvern itself, a short drive away, developed as a Victorian health resort centred around its natural spring water, and it's worth spending time there wandering past elegant buildings, poking into independent shops, and visiting the priory.

This area sits at the edge of a larger region rather than deep within it, which actually works in your favour. You're close enough to the northern parts of the Cotswolds to make exploring different landscapes feasible without long journeys. Worcester, with its impressive cathedral, is also easily reached if you want to add some urban history to your visit. So you can genuinely combine proper spa time with days out exploring both countryside and towns, making it work as a base for quite different kinds of days.
