This small hamlet sits on Gloucestershire's eastern edge, where the landscape begins its gentle roll into proper Cotswolds country.

It's grown organically around a central green, comprising scattered farms, a handful of properties, and the kind of quiet rural character that defines this corner of England.

There's not much in the way of formal attractions here, but that's very much the appeal. You get genuine countryside surroundings with walking routes threading through farmland and access to the broader network of footpaths that criss-cross the region. The green itself serves as the traditional village focal point, while the land around it delivers exactly what many people seek from the Cotswolds—a genuine sense of peaceful isolation without the bustle of more developed areas.

Location-wise, Hucclecote Green works well as a quieter base for exploring the wider region. Gloucester lies to the west, while the heart of the Cotswolds spreads eastward. It falls within the North Cotswolds constituency area. If you're after shops, restaurants, and more substantial historical sites, the market towns of Cirencester and Tewkesbury are both within reasonable driving distance. But if your priority is finding a truly rural spot to unwind or as a launching point for countryside walks, this hamlet offers exactly that without any of the trappings of somewhere more developed or obviously geared toward visitors.
