Hayles Fruit Farm sits just outside Stanway, a short drive from Winchcombe, on land that's supported farming for centuries.

This is a working farm with real local history—several of its buildings date back hundreds of years and connect to the nearby Hailes Abbey, which gives the place a genuine sense of roots and continuity.

Most visitors come for the seasonal Pick Your Own experience. Depending on the time of year, you can pick strawberries, raspberries, apples, plums and other fruits fresh from the trees and bushes. It's a satisfying couple of hours, especially if you're bringing children along. Once you've finished picking, the farm shop sells their own produce alongside locally made preserves and their own cider, so you can take something home to remember the visit. There's a tea room too, where you can have coffee and cake or something more filling while looking out across the countryside. The farm keeps animals on the grounds, and fishing lakes are available to visitors on certain days, which means you can easily spend more time here if you're enjoying it.

This feels like a proper working farm experience rather than a typical tourist stop, yet it's well positioned if you're staying in Broadway, Cheltenham, or elsewhere in the region and want something different from the usual village visit.
