This small, tranquil settlement offers a true taste of rural peace on the western edge of the Cotswolds.

It's primarily a residential hamlet, ideal if you're after a quiet escape from busier locations. You won't find bustling shops or major attractions within Clevelode itself, but what makes it appealing is the serene atmosphere and traditional architecture that define the place.

From here, you can enjoy gentle walks directly from the hamlet, exploring the local lanes and taking in expansive countryside views. The real draw for many visitors is how well-positioned it is for exploring the dramatic Malvern Hills, just a short drive away, where you can tackle some excellent hiking and soak in panoramic vistas. For cafes, independent shops, and restaurants, Great Malvern is conveniently close by. That larger town is also worth visiting for its impressive Priory and its connections to the composer Elgar, offering a richer sense of local history and culture. Upton upon Severn, a historic riverside town with its own character, is another nearby option worth considering. So Clevelode works well as a calm base where you can retreat to peace and quiet while keeping the best of the wider region within easy reach.
