This cycling route takes you through the quieter, western reaches of the Cotswolds, connecting areas that once fell within Avon and extending into Wiltshire.

17 km 1h 1min easy

It's a dedicated path designed specifically for cyclists, offering plenty of flexibility depending on what you're after—you can tackle it all in one energetic ride or break it into a leisurely day out with stops along the way.

The route itself follows country lanes and includes some traffic-free sections, winding past rolling farmland and traditional hamlets that give you a real sense of the region's long-standing agricultural character. You'll have plenty of opportunities to pause in small villages, watch for local wildlife, and simply soak in the natural surroundings at your own pace.

West Kington marks one section of the route, and if you're after more substantial facilities, Malmesbury is just to the east—a historic market town with shops and places to eat. Castle Combe is equally accessible nearby. Bath lies further west and makes a useful hub if you're starting from that direction. The route really does offer a chance to experience a less-travelled corner of the Cotswolds, away from the busier tourist routes while still being well-connected to these larger settlements if you need them.
