Avon Cottage is a bed-and-breakfast located in the centre of Tetbury, a historic market town in the southern Cotswolds.
This is genuinely the kind of place you'll want to return to at the end of each day—it's comfortable, welcoming, and puts you in the perfect spot for exploring the area properly. Tetbury has built itself a reputation as a destination for antique hunters, with shops scattered throughout town offering all manner of unusual finds. The buildings are constructed from the local honey-coloured stone that characterises the Cotswolds, which reflects Tetbury's prosperous history as a wool trading centre.
The accommodation works particularly well as a base because there's genuinely a lot within reach. Highgrove House, the private residence of King Charles III, is a short drive away and the gardens open for public tours on occasion. The Westonbirt Arboretum is equally close and offers excellent walking routes through extensive tree collections—autumn visits are especially worthwhile when the colours are at their peak. You could easily spend several days just in Tetbury itself, visiting the historic market house and exploring the streets, or venture further to Cirencester, often called the Capital of the Cotswolds, or to Malmesbury with its ancient abbey. It's a solid base for a genuinely restful stay with plenty of worthwhile things within easy reach.
