This accessible walk takes you through an 18th-century parkland that was carefully designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown for the 6th Earl of Coventry.
The smooth, level paths mean everyone can experience the full scope of what makes this estate special, regardless of mobility needs.
As you make your way around, you'll see open fields stretching out, mature trees dotting the landscape, and a peaceful lake. The designer placed architectural follies and temples throughout specifically to frame the best views from different vantage points. Beyond the grounds themselves, Croome Court—the ancestral home of the Coventry family—is open to explore, with plenty of interesting history to discover inside. There's also a beautifully restored walled garden that offers a more structured, formal feel compared to the open parkland around it.
What many visitors find surprising is that during World War II, this estate became a top-secret RAF base. You can still see remnants of this unexpected chapter and learn about what happened here during the war years.
The estate sits near Severn Stoke village, putting it within easy reach of Worcester and the riverside town of Upton-upon-Severn. It's the kind of place where you can spend a full day wandering, enjoying a mix of landscape design, gardens, and genuine history without feeling rushed.
