This walking route connects two major towns through the heart of Worcestershire countryside, forming part of a longer trail dedicated to the Three Choirs Festival, one of the world's oldest classical music events held rotating across Worcester, Hereford, and Gloucester.

12 km 2h 21min moderate

Starting near Worcester's historic centre, the path heads westward through a changing landscape of fields, gentle valleys, and country lanes. As you walk, the Malvern Hills gradually emerge on the horizon, providing a striking visual guide throughout your journey. You'll pass through villages like Callow End, where you can experience the quieter rhythms of rural life away from the main towns.

The walk makes an excellent full day out for anyone wanting some proper exercise combined with expansive countryside views and fresh air. Worcester itself sits on the river and is dominated by its impressive cathedral, while Great Malvern at the walk's end is known for its Victorian architecture and as a historic spa town built around its natural spring water. From Great Malvern, you also gain direct access to the dramatic Malvern Hills themselves, perfect if you want to extend your time outdoors.
