You'll find The T Barn just outside Ampney Crucis, a straightforward campsite with tent pitches and spaces for touring vehicles in a quiet part of the Cotswolds.

It's designed for people who want to settle properly into the countryside without unnecessary complications, with practical facilities that make camping comfortable.

The location strikes a good balance. You're far enough from major roads to have genuine peace, but close enough to explore without long journeys. Ampney Crucis itself is worth spending time in—the village has an ancient church and plenty of honey-coloured stone buildings that speak to centuries of habitation. The footpaths running through gently rolling hills and across quiet farmland are excellent if you want to stretch your legs.

Beyond the immediate area, you're well positioned for day trips. Cirencester lies just a short drive away and offers the facilities of a proper market town, with shops, museums, and restaurants—it has Roman origins and plenty of character. Bibury and Fairford are equally accessible if you fancy a change of scenery.

What makes this campsite particularly useful is that it gives you both things at once. You get genuine quiet when you want it, settled among fields and stone walls, but you're never far from villages with some genuine life to them. If you're after the rural experience of the Cotswolds without completely removing yourself from civilisation, this works well as a base.
