This is Wroughton, a village just south of Swindon in Wiltshire on the eastern edge of the Cotswolds.

What really makes Wroughton handy is its location as a launch pad. From here, you can head west into the heart of the Cotswolds with its rolling countryside and stone-built villages, or explore the wider Wiltshire landscape in other directions. If you're planning a broader tour of the region, stopping here to refuel yourself and your vehicle before heading into the more well-known parts of the Cotswolds makes solid practical sense.
