You'll find this large Sainsbury's store in the Bridgemead area, just off the A4361 near Swindon's edge, with the village of Wroughton a short drive south.
While it's not somewhere you'd visit for sightseeing, it's genuinely useful if you're exploring the southern Cotswolds. This is where you can stock up on groceries for self-catering accommodation, grab snacks and drinks for the day ahead, or pick up anything you've forgotten to pack. The store also has electric vehicle charging points, which makes it a sensible place to recharge your car while you shop—handy if you're relying on an EV to get around. It works well as either a first stop before heading into the smaller villages where supermarkets are thin on the ground, or a last stop before you leave the area. Being close to Swindon itself means you're within reach of wider city facilities if you need them, but the supermarket itself does most of what casual visitors require without having to venture further afield.
