On the western edge of the Cotswolds sits this quiet hamlet, where a handful of homes built from local stone line peaceful lanes.

There's genuine appeal in its simplicity—this is somewhere you can truly slow down and take in the countryside without distraction.

You won't find visitor attractions in the traditional sense, and that's rather the point. Most people come to walk through the surrounding fields, enjoy the calm, and look at the traditional architecture. The views across the landscape are worth your time, particularly towards the Malvern Hills visible in the distance, and there's a real sense of how agricultural life has carried on here for generations.

The hamlet itself is quite small, so for a pub, shops, or restaurant options, you'll need to venture out. The larger village of Longdon is just a short distance away and makes a convenient stop for basic amenities. Upton upon Severn, a market town with a pleasant riverside location, is slightly further and worth the drive if you want more dining choices. Tewkesbury, which sits within easy reach, has an impressive Abbey and offers fuller facilities along with some historical substance.

What makes this place work is the combination—profound quiet when you want it, but nearby towns are close enough that you're not cut off. It's an ideal base if you're after a genuine country escape with the flexibility to explore when the mood takes you.
