On the western edge of the Cotswolds sits this small hamlet, where the main draw is really the landscape and the opportunity to step back from busier surroundings.
There aren't shops or major attractions within the hamlet itself, but that's rather the point—this is a place to walk at your own pace, think clearly, and notice the details of the countryside around you.
The traditional homes scattered here, some with centuries of history, tell the story of a long-established farming community. Paths fan out from the hamlet through the fields, taking you across gentle hills and opening up views toward the Severn Vale. The character of the area has remained largely consistent over time, which is part of what makes it appealing if you're looking for somewhere that hasn't changed dramatically.
If you want to combine your visit with other activities, Tewkesbury lies just to the west, known for its substantial Abbey and its role in medieval history. Head south and you'll reach Gloucester, where the cathedral and the restored docks around the waterfront offer more to explore. Coming here works well as part of a broader exploration of the region, or simply as a destination in itself if you're after somewhere quiet to walk and spend time outdoors.
